Project Type: LED lighting upgrade
Our client became increasingly frustrated at both the high maintenance costs and poor lighting output of their existing lighting installation which had been in place since commissioning of the building.
We carried out a full design on this project and advised the client of our proposal which was quickly accepted due to the benefits we could offer.
We worked with the client to devise a plan for the works, due to the building being a chilled milk storage facility we had to work around the staff and products.
The estimated payback time for this project was approximately 3.4 years. Meaning that within 3.4 years, the money saved on electricity usage would be the equivalent to the installation cost. Meaning that from this point onwards, the customer would benefit with massive savings to their business.
The new lighting system we installed for the client was designed to improve the lux level across racking aisles and loading zones. This would help enhance visibility for warehouse staff, improve uniformity by reducing shadows and glare, and support compliance by contributing to a safer working environment. Significant consideration was given to the environmental impact of the new lighting. Lower energy consumption meant reduced carbon emissions and an improved energy rating for our client. This improved energy performance while reducing maintenance requirements, adding long-term value that goes beyond the initial payback period.
