Project Type: EV chargepoint installations
We were successfully appointed in the summer of 2019 to work alongside Mercedes-Benz to deliver a full turnkey Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure at various sites across the north east of England.
For these projects, SM Electrical provided both the required Electrical Installation works and also the roads civils works package.
These projects included the installation of new EV distribution infrastructure on site to allow for 3x 22kW rapid charge points per site, with the future provision to additional units.
All systems were designed and installed in accordance with high industry EV charging standards and the latest IET Wiring Regulations. Full testing and certification were completed before handover to the client. Each installation was designed to support current demand while also allowing scalability in the future, should the client wish to do so.
